Kerfluffle in Jeopardy? You betcha.
I'm still a very avid Jeopardy watcher. So much, in fact, that I've been reading Ken Jennings's blog since the day it went up. Ken Jennings was the guy who went on the show two years ago and won $2.5 million. Throughout his run on the show, he frequently had a quick sense of humor, contributing such clips as these, which is still one of the funniest things I've ever seen on the show.
Anyway, about a week ago, Ken posted this entry to his blog. I laughed hysterically at it. I mean, come on! Angry bees!
Apparently, someone at the New York Post thought it was a serious jab at the show, and published an article claiming so. It was picked up by Yahoo, CNN, Fox News, USA Today, and so on, and so on. Dozens of people showed up on the message boards on Ken Jennings's website to flame him.
God forbid these people ever read The Onion. Take a joke. Recognize sarcasm. Don't be such idiots. Poor Ken.
